Economics Professor Marcus Marktanner was recently featured in Global Atlanta discussing Russia’s recent invasion of Ukraine. While Russian President Vladimir Putin has used national security to justify the action, Marktanner believes the goal is to actually distract from Russia’s mounting economic challenges.
Is Russia planning a cyber war against the United States? As western sanctions on Russia intensify amidst its continued invasion of Ukraine, Assistant Professor of Information Security and Assurance Andy Green does not think Russian cyberattacks are a foregone conclusion. Speaking with Government Technology, Green says its unclear whether Russia is ready to escalate the war by targeting the west.
