Through the process of formal review utilizing our , ʯÁñÖ±²¥ (ʯÁñÖ±²¥) recognizes departments whose assessment of their educational program has progressed beyond mere reporting for compliance or accountability to assessing for program improvement.  Programs are evaluated on key aspects of assessment design, implementation, and use of results for continuous improvement.  Specifically, programs are evaluated in 5 categories: program student learning outcomes, curriculum map, assessment methods, presentation of results, and use of results for continuous improvement.  Using rubric scores on each of these categories (scores range from 1 to 4), ʯÁñÖ±²¥ recognizes two levels of distinction for excellence in assessment: gold and silver.

Gold level - The program demonstrates a very robust and mature assessment process and demonstrates best practices by scoring a level 4 on all 5 indicators of the rubric criteria.

Silver level - The program demonstrates a strong and mature assessment process and demonstrates best practices by scoring a level 4 on at least 80% of rubric criteria (4 out of 5).
