Career and Academic Opportunities

A ʯÁñÖ±²¥ Master's in Exercise Science is a degree that prepares students with a foundation in research methods, statistical analysis, and administrative skills. The degree focuses on the advanced academic knowledge of Exercise Physiology and concludes with a capstone experience which may include an Administrative Field Experience, Master's Project, or Master's Thesis. The flexible curriculum allows students the ability to prepare for their next professional step and unique career goals. Graduate Career Paths May Include: Doctoral Programs in Exercise Physiology, Graduate Program in Medicine, Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Clinical Exercise Physiologist, Sports Performance Specialist, and Research Scientist.

Double Owl Admission Requirements

  • Acceptance into the Wellstar College of Health and Human Services undergraduate Exercise Science program.
  • GPA of at least 3.00 in ʯÁñÖ±²¥ undergraduate work.
  • 60 hours completed toward Bachelor's degree.
  • Completed 12 semester hours at ʯÁñÖ±²¥.

Double Counted Courses

  • EHS 6510 to count for Major Field Electives
  • EHS 6200 to count for Major Field Electives
  • EHS 6520 to count for Major Field Electives

Students will need to be accepted into the Wellstar College of Health and Human Services undergraduate program in Exercise Science before they can apply to this Double Owl Pathway. Undergraduate Exercise Science Majors should apply in their junior year, second term for consideration as a Double Owl Scholar.
