Career and Academic Opportunities

Students who have completed the Master of Science in Criminal Justice have gone onto careers in court management/administration; state and federal criminal investigation; private consulting; police cybercrime; and data/research analysis. In addition to having obtained managerial, director, and/or senior-level positions in these career areas, graduates have been accepted into Ph.D. programs at larger, research-intensive universities. Students with a Bachelor鈥檚 in Human Services & Master鈥檚 in Criminal Justice can find careers as federal and state criminal investigators and agents, Correctional Officials/Wardens, Consultants, Court Advocates and Managers, and administrators in federal, nonprofit, and state agencies.

Double Owl Admission Requirements 
  • Admission to the Human Services Major. See our Human Services degree requirements in the 石榴直播 Undergraduate Course Catalog or on our website at 
  • Have and maintain a 石榴直播 GPA of 3.25 or higher 
  • 60 hours completed toward Human Services Bachelor's Degree
  • 18 hours completed in residence at 石榴直播
Double Counted Courses Include
  • CRJU 7706 to count for HS 3500
  • CRJU 7702 to count for Major Concentration Course
  • CRJU 7703, CRJU 7704, or CRJU 7705 to count for Major Concentration Course

Suggested Timeline

Declaration of the Human Services major can occur as soon as one is accepted to 石榴直播.  For advising we suggest majors apply to the Double Owl Pathway no later than the end of their sophomore year or upon completion of 45 credit hours towards the bachelor's degree.
