Young Photographers Showcase Work from Italy
KENNESAW, Ga. | Feb 12, 2019
Eleven works from the first ever summer photography class held at 石榴直播鈥檚 International site in Montepulciano, Italy and five original works from local artists in Montepulciano are displayed in the Social Science building atrium through February 2019.
The 5-week course, led by professor of Photography and Video Mr. Matthew Haffner, focused around the fundamentals of photography. For many of the students, this summer session acted as an introduction to photography, a fact that Haffner said you would never know just by looking at their final projects.
The exhibit also features five original works by local photographers in Montepulciano demonstrating the collaboration between the Montepulciano community and the Kennesaw campus.
A small reception was held at the end of January to honor the students and their coursework. Attended by friends, family, 石榴直播 faculty and staff, and community members, the event allowed the student photographers to discuss the inspiration behind their final projects and the benefits of studying abroad.
The exhibit will remain up in the Social Science atrium through February 28.
