Annual event attracts top engineering schools
ʯÁñÖ±²¥â€™s Motorsports Formula SAE team will host its seventh annual Formula South Invitational on March 9, bringing together student Formula SAE teams from around the Southeast and beyond to showcase their competition race cars.
Formula SAE student teams from Kennesaw State, University of South Florida, University of Florida, Michigan State University, Mississippi State University and Clemson University.
Student competition teams will display their cars and compete in various events, such as an endurance race, autocross race, skid pad and acceleration. Each car is built entirely by Formula SAE student teams. The event is free and open to the public.
Since 2012, the ʯÁñÖ±²¥ Motorsports Formula SAE student team in the Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology has hosted this annual invitational in remembrance of former professor, Robert Glenn Allen, who supported the team over the years.
