Faculty and Advisors Access
Buckley Form
Degree Works
Advisors, faculty and administrators who require access to Degree Works through Owl Express are required to complete FERPA training and have a completed Buckley form on file with the Registrar’s Office. Additionally, administrators and advisors requiring access to Owl Express are required to complete the Owl Express Student Information Security Request Form to buckley@kennesaw.edu.
Faculty with a Buckley form on file in the Registrar’s Office will have access to the class roster through the Faculty tab in Owl Express. If the Faculty tab is not available, the faculty member must submit a completed Buckley form to the Office of the Registrar, registrar@kennesaw.edu.
Course Substitution Portal
Course Attribute Dashboard (CAD)
College and department administrators who support ʯÁñÖ±²¥â€™s QEP—It’s About Engagement— and USG No-Cost/Low-Cost initiatives need access to the Course Attribute Dashboard so that they can either submit or approve the appropriate course attributes for their courses.
Department personnel who are involved in evaluating and submitting courses for designation as service learning, undergraduate research, and/or work-based learning will need access to the Course Attribute dashboard.
QEP and No-Cost/Low-Cost liaisons in each college will also need access to the Course Attribute Dashboard to approve courses submitted for designation by their departments.
The QEP subject matter experts and the academic deans likewise require access so that they can review approved courses as needed.

Grade Change
Owl Express
Faculty and administrators who require access to view student information using Owl Express are required to and have a completed Buckley form on file with the Registrar’s Office. Additionally, administrators and advisors requiring access to Owl Express are required to complete the Owl Express Student Information Security Request Form.

FERPA
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) (20 U.S.C. § 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99) is a Federal law that protects the privacy of student education records. The law applies to all schools that receive funds under an applicable program of the U.S. Department of Education.
FERPA gives parents certain rights with respect to their children's education records. These rights transfer to the student when he or she reaches the age of 18 or attends a school beyond the high school level. Students to whom the rights have transferred are "eligible students."
ʯÁñÖ±²¥ CONNECT - Change of Major and Advisors
Academic department administrators and support staff whose role it is to manage the change of program/major/minors and advisor change requests or to process course substitutions will need access to these applications in ʯÁñÖ±²¥ CONNECT.
To receive access to the appropriate ʯÁñÖ±²¥ CONNECT applications, sign, complete, and forward the Add Change Request for Change Major/Advisor Access form to bannerforms@kennesaw.edu.
Scheduler Builder Access
Academic department administrators and support staff whose role it is to assist in building the schedule of classes for the academic department will need the Schedule Builder access role in Banner Admin Pages when the schedule building process opens.
To receive access to the appropriate Banner Admin Pages schedule forms, sign, complete, and forward the Add Change Request for Schedule Building Class form to bannerforms@kennesaw.edu.
Departments will be able to manage the maximum seat limit as well as the assignment of faculty to course sections using ʯÁñÖ±²¥ CONNECT and the Department Chair menu. To receive access to the Department Chair menu, the department chair must email SERVICE@kennesaw.edu to request access setup.
Departments should use the Course Modification Request Form to request course modifications once schedule building has closed. Course modifications will NOT be accepted past the Friday before the first day of the class for the semester and/or part of the term of the request.
Departments should review each course after the course schedule has been published to ensure the course is accurate before the first day of classes for the course.
Departments should use the Course Add Request Form to request new course creations once schedule building has closed. Course adds will NOT be accepted past the add/drop deadline for the semester of the request.
