Georgia’s Dual Enrollment Program provides students enrolled at an eligible public or private high school or home study program in Georgia the opportunity to earn high school and college credit at a participating eligible postsecondary institution in Georgia.

Georgia’s Dual Enrollment Program offers students the opportunity to experience college courses and begin their college academic career while still in high school and provides for standard tuition, mandatory fees and required books.

Dual enrollment students are ineligible to enroll for seats that have been reserved for other students, such as those designated for honor students or new first-year college students.

The program is offered during all terms of the school year.

Admission Requirements

GPA Requirement

Kennesaw State’s Dual Enrollment Program, in accordance with the University System of Georgia, has updated GPA and Test score requirements for the academic years 2024-2025.

  • Minimum 3.0 with qualifying test scores
  • Minimum 3.2 test optional 

(Recalculated by ʯÁñÖ±²¥, in 17 units of required High School coursework)

Student Eligibility

  • A student must be enrolled in and physically attending a participating eligible public or private high school in Georgia or an
    eligible participating home study program in Georgia.
  • A student must be approved by the participating high school or home study program at which he or she is enrolled, to participate
    in dual enrollment.
  • ʯÁñÖ±²¥ will accept 10th graders who meet our minimum GPA and who have a minimum SAT score of 1200 or minimum ACT composite score of 26 in a single national test administration. 10th graders cannot use Accuplacer for acceptance.
  • Homeschool applicants must meet additional requirements. Unaccredited home study students will not have a GPA calculated and must meet standardized test score requirements for acceptance.

Dual Enrollment Application Process

  1. Submit your Dual Enrollment Application
  2. Submit . Please allow 24-48 hours after applying to submit the New Student Form
  3. Your High School Transcript(s)
    Work with your high school to send us your official transcript(s) documenting all coursework taken during your high school career.
  4. Any College Transcript(s)If you have earned any college credit (including dual credit) while in high school, it is your responsibility to request that the college or university send official transcripts to ʯÁñÖ±²¥.
  5. Standardized Tests Scores
    Kennesaw State accepts either the  or the  for dual enrollment applicants. Applicants must meet minimum English/Evidence-Based Reading and Math section requirements.

Home Educated Students

Applicants applying to Kennesaw State who attend a homeschool or high school not accredited by one of the accrediting associations below must document their Required High School Curriculum units through the submission of a curriculum packet. 

The USG recognizes accreditation from the following accrediting bodies: 

  • A regional accrediting association, such as the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACSCASI). Accredited schools can be found on:

Applicants attending a non-accredited homeschool are required to complete the following steps in order: &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

  1. Complete the 
  2. Setup your 
    • 48 hours after applying, you will have your ʯÁñÖ±²¥# and NetID 
  3. Once you have set up your NetID, access and complete the  and attach the following documents:
    • Declaration of Intent to Homeschool
    • Notarized Affidavit of Successful Completion
      • Note: Submit with this portfolio only after high school graduation.  If your high school graduation date is in the future, your confirmation email will include a link to complete the form at that time
  4. Submit official SAT or ACT Scores.
  5. Submit official college transcripts.
