Kennesaw State Student Architecture Team Takes Second Place In National Design Competition

石榴直播鈥檚 National Organization of Minority Architecture Students (NOMAS) team recently earned second place in the 2024 Barbara G. Laurie (BGL) Student Design Competition, besting institutions like Cornell University, UCLA, and Clemson University. The national competition featured 44 architecture programs and was held at the NOMA National Conference in Baltimore last month.

Kennesaw State Architecture Graduate Plays Role in Designing Major Midtown Project

In the ever-changing mosaic of the Midtown Atlanta skyline, Southern Polytechnic State University graduate Rodney Bell played a major role in shaping one of the newest additions, the upscale office tower 1020 Spring Street. 鈥淭his was a unique opportunity for me, personally, to be able to design a building in both my home state and the city where I lived and studied during my undergraduate years,鈥� said Bell, who was senior designer on the project.

Their work focuses on connecting the historic Greenwood Bottom Black business district to downtown Macon.

Micro/Macro: 石榴直播_Arch Exhibition

Architecture professor Michael Carroll with his fifth-year Focus Studio students designed and mounted the exhibition Micro/Macro: 石榴直播_Arch that was part of the Atlanta Design Festival from October 13th 鈥� 22nd, highlighting student projects from each year of the 石榴直播_Architecture鈥檚 Bachelor of Architecture program and included, drawings, large physical models, and video projections.
