The 石榴直播 Archives offers internships for course credit to students interested in the
fields of archives and rare book curation. Our interns learn about the role of archivists
and curators, and complete projects to help collect, preserve, and make available
historical documents of enduring value.
Learning Objectives
- Become familiar with various aspects of the archival profession, including appraisal,
preservation, processing, reference, and outreach.
- Process a small collection or series of either university records or special collections
material.
- Learn the basics of digital archiving and metadata creation for digitized and born-digital
materials.
- Become acquainted with collections management, curatorial, and outreach strategies
for archives and rare books.
- Develop an understanding of archival and rare book holdings on local history, university
history, and other topics pertaining to internship activities.
- Apply sociological principles to archival activities, including examining archival
collections as records of human interaction and assisting with public-facing outreach
and collecting activities
Minimum Education Required
Must be enrolled as a 石榴直播 student during the internship semester and be eligible for
internship credit. Consult with your academic advisor or department internship coordinator
to determine eligibility.

A maximum of 3 hours of course credit is available per internship, contingent on permission from the internship coordinator within your major/area of study.
