Student Safety

石榴直播 (石榴直播) is committed to providing and maintaining a safe teaching, learning, living, and working environment for all members of its community and to minimize the University鈥檚 impact on the environment. The Environmental Health and Safety Department (EHS) is 石榴直播鈥檚 source of expertise and assistance on environmental and occupational safety matters and continuously works to keep 石榴直播 in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental health and safety laws, rules and regulations. Toward this goal, EHS works collaboratively with the University鈥檚 academic units and operations departments. EHS core roles and responsibilities for students include but are not limited to the following:

  • Recycling is a good thing, we at the EHS department started a program in order to recycle used alkaline batteries and empty printer cartridge. Places have been set around the schools campus.
  • 石榴直播 provides fire and life safety and event safety consultations for the campus community.
  • Reporting safety incidents and concerns help keep the 石榴直播 campuses safe.
    Please report all safety incidents, near misses and safety concerns to EHS.
  • We strive to ensure that every lab is conducive for students to work in.

Employee Safety

石榴直播 (石榴直播) is committed to providing and maintaining a safe teaching, learning, living, and working environment for all members of its community and to minimize the University鈥檚 impact on the environment. The Environmental Health and Safety Department (EHS) is 石榴直播鈥檚 source of expertise and assistance on environmental and occupational safety matters and continuously works to keep 石榴直播 in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental health and safety laws, rules, and regulations. Toward this goal, EHS works collaboratively with the University鈥檚 academic units and operations departments. EHS core roles and responsibilities for employees include but are not limited to the following:

  • All new emmployees, including employees who have been absent from work for one year, must complete a New Employee Safety Orientation Training and Checklist within 30 days of hire.

    Instructions:

    • Sign in to your account.
    • Under 鈥淢y Assignments,鈥 select 鈥淟aunch Compliance Training.鈥
    • Select 鈥淓nvironmental Health and Safety New Employee Training E-C-22-V1 (WBT).鈥
    • Complete the training in its entirety. Complete all 鈥淭est Your Knowledge鈥 activities to the best of your ability. 
    • At the end of the course, you will be prompted to download the New Employee Orientation Safety Training Checklist. This form should be reviewed, completed, and signed by both you and your supervisor to document completion of job-specific orientation provided by the department. Send the completed, signed form to EHS at ehs@kennesaw.edu.
