Data Management Plan
Creating a comprehensive Data Management Plan (DMP) is essential for ensuring the effective handling, sharing, and preservation of research data. While the guidelines provided here offer a solid foundation, always start by considering the specific requirements of your project sponsor and any Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols.
Remember, your DMP should be a dynamic document, adaptable to changes in data size, type, and personnel throughout the project. Key components include identifying responsible investigators, describing data sources and formats, detailing storage and access protocols, and planning for long-term data archiving and potential re-use.
Get to know the structured process for maintaining data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant standards and requirements!

Stat / Transfer
is designed to simplify the transfer of statistical data between different programs.
Stat/Transfer will automatically read statistical data in the internal format of one program and will transfer as much of the information as is present and appropriate to the internal format of another.
If you need data converted, the Office of Research has purchased Stat/Transfer and we can assist in transforming data. Contact Tom Boyle at tboyle@kennesaw.edu.
Stat / Transfer Will Support These File Types:
- 1-2-3
- Access
- ASCII - Delimited
- ASCII - Fixed Format
- BayesiaLab (Write Only)
- dBASE and compatible formats
- DDI Schemas Epi Info
- Excel
- FoxPro
- Gauss
- gretl
- HTML tables
- JMP
- JSON-Stat (Read Only)
- LIMDEP Matlab Mineset
- NLOGIT ODBC
- OpenDocument Spreadsheets
- OSIRIS (read-only) Paradox
